**** Pink Floyd -- Atom Heart Mother
Another great album from a great band. There's a couple of bits in here that don't work all that well, but from the space/heavy/moody angle, you're not going to beat this with the typical hippie junk that came out at this time. "Fat Old Sun" sounds like a Beatles tune that cranks into a great Gilmour solo to round it out. There are a couple of "suites" here, "Atom Heart Mother" and "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast" that foreshadow later work by the band (lengthy instrumentals mixed with shorter lyrical passages).
