** Various Artists -- Soundtrack to "the Cable Guy"
Sucky movie gets a kind of sucky soundtrack. That's not too surprising. There's a couple of good tracks here, including "Leave Me Alone" by Jerry Cantrell (of Alice in Chains), "Download" by Expanding Man, the orchestral "This Concludes Our Broadcast Day", and the amusing "Somebody to Love", a remake of the classic Jefferson Airplane track by Jim Carrey. Otherwise, not much to write home about. Some rap, grunge and metal. Even bands I normally like (Porno for Pyros and Cracker) aren't all that hot here. Oh well, at least I didn't pay for it -- won it online at the Cable Guy site.
